XJS - advice on value please.
Discussion
A friend owns a '93, 4l XJS convertible , quite tidy condition with 120K , Jaguar Specialist service records and a recently replaced hood .
This one has a manual gear-box and twin headlights and the owner is sure that this adds to the value, I cannot find a comp on either classifieds here or flea bay, any advice or is he kidding himself ?

A four litre with a manual box, nice, a clients late father had a georgous light gold convertible with a light brown half leather interior, rather unique and diseriable, always wanted to offer to buy it. The manual's must've been a special order as I've only ever seen auto's on offer from between £4,500 - £7=8k for a good one, minters with lower milage claiming £10k and over.
Best to get a JEC valuation.
Post a photo or 2 would be interesting to see it.

The late convertible XJS seem to be going up in value.
93 is a K or L plate. I think this is before the added body stiffening was done, so it might not be fair to compare it against the later "Celebration" model cars, but one of the guys in my JEC club was recently selling his 95 car for £14,750. If I'd had anywhere to keep it, I'd have bought it. (So the lack of a garage has probably saved me the cost of a divorce
