Deals Gap has to be done just to say "i've done it", but as driving roads go, the Fontana road (US28) to Deals Gap is a much more fun driving road than the Gap. Also, US129 back to Robbinsville is a good driving road. There is also US28 from north of Franklin (look for Sylva Road) up to Almond(ish). Empty road, zero bikers, zero cops, fast with great corners.
