Not in a month of Sundays.

Couple of hudred quid max i'd bet on, unless they are offering some sort of silly promo deal.

I'd have thought circa £500.

I'd agree on that - private sale and you should easily waltz away with at least £1200 - just depends on if you can be bothered or not.

Recently sold mine at trade price - 94 S-Spec, 125k km, newish hood, nearly new Toyos, lots of recent work done, air con, MAZ reg plate. It needed a sill welding and a couple of brackets straightening at the front from a low speed impact (wing already replaced). I was going to get the rust repaired and the brackets straightened and hope to get 1300-1400. Took it in to get the rust done and he offered to buy it at trade price so let it go for £800. I could have got more privately but saved the hassle of advertising / tyre kickers, and didn't have to pay to get the rust sorted.

You won't see more than a grand for your car even if mint in part chop I'm afraid, I would think a non specialist will offer you a fairly derisory amount TBH. If you can be bothered, sell it yourself, or ring round a few specialists.

That's about what I'd think. Without looking at mine the garage suggested they would only offer "a few hundred". That's on a 1997 and before they knew it had almost twice the miles of the OPs car.

thanks all, you confirmed what i was thinking, about £5-700 if im lucky, i could get 1100 odd if cleaned it up, and i sold it private to the right buyer, but theres also the extra hassle of advertising and juggling cars about in the interim. ill see if i can get a decent deal with px, if not ill sell it myself. thanks all, more ponderings.. smile
