UK car insurance after living abroad?

After living in Switzerland for over 5 years and returning to UK it seems every major UK car insurer won't accept my NCB from previously living in the UK. My old insurance company Bell Direct said they would only accept it if I lived outside the UK for just 2 years.

Therefore does anyone know a broker or insurance company that would accept my old NCB or at least my 5 years NCB from Switzerland?

I thought there was already a thread about this but have tried the search and nothing pops up?

I went with DirectLine two years ago as they were accepting NCB from France, but it seems now that they have stopped, and only take NCD from the UK
