Ok so needing opinions of the masses really need to look for a new car well used car but new for me and i am unsure what to get
1. bmw e46 m3 manual
2. nissan 350z/ roadster
3. lotus elise s1
4. vx 220 but would want a turbo this would mean saving more money as turbos are not in budget

I have around 7500 to 8k max is there anything else i should consider looking for fun good b road blasting and maybe a residual return when selling.I know with the m3 and nissan i may not get the residual return.

And what are the key problems issues to watch when buying i know clam shells and head gaskets for the vx and elise and clutch on the nissan and vanos on m3.

my previous cars an sti and a wrx an rs500 an r32 and an elise 111s not forgetting the mk1 escort cosworth.

personally:

m3 if you want an element of practicality, elise if you don't. the latter will be cheaper to run and service but remains an uncompromises option for a one car solution.

forget the vx220 turbo as the additional cash opens too many more opions.
