Just booked the Ultimate VAG Track Day on Saturday 25th August at Brands Hatch with Motorsport Vision. At only £179 for a Saturday in August at one of the UK's most prestigious circuits it seems excellent value and it will be my first time there. So who else is up for this one,be good to see plenty of VAG cars there.

It's £225 on their page.
I would expect a very busy day.

Yeah its 225 now but open pitlane [much bettersmile] day open to all as apparently there wasn't anywhere near enough interest to make it a VAG only day.

OPL is only better if the numbers are low. If theyre high then sessions are better, because an open pit lane with a 50-strong queue when theyre are thirty cars on track isnt really 'open' is it?

I have generally only ever had to wait a couple of minutes if at all on open days but yeah for sure if over booked and having to constantly queue not only would it not equate to open but i would consider it as unacceptable and a rip off as i suspect everyone attending would.Fingers crossed now this has "sensible" numberssmile
My two negative experiences have been focused [worst] booking 40 cars in on a 105db [only 5 cars on track at anytime] day at goodwood a year or two ago and very recently a day at mallory with javelin which at least on first couple of runs felt busier on track than the motorways i drove up on way to circuit!!

I suppose that cost is also an issue. If its dear and there are fewer people then yes, but if its cheap and theyve had to sell more places then OPL can be far worse than sessioned days.

Interesting, at Brands, Focused Events usually had resonable numbers, in fact a bit lower than the Motorsport Vision themselves.
