Oil in intercooler

Removed intercooler last night and the large hose on passenger side had oil inside, is this normal?

Yes, as small amount of oil is normal

is this because of the oil breather feeding into the intake?

Never seen oil in mine, maybe your turbo seals are seeping?

If your breather from the oil seperator goes into the front turbo intake as standard then yes a small quantity of oil in the intercooler is normal.

If the outlet hose had oil in it then on of the inlet ones must have as well. Most likely from the front turbo as the breather goes through that. Look in the pipe between the air filter and the front Turbo and see if its excessively breathing

one bad turbo seal can do that too.

Ditto Duncan. Mine had a little bit in today too.
If we get the PA oil catch tank that small amount of oil won't happen again.

Beware guys the std breather tank is made of steel and the inside rust !! filling your nice clean engine oil with all sorts of crap !!

they also fill with Mayo crap , when i changed my tank is was blocked at the bottom thankfully so all the st stayed in the tank !! defo a good upgrade .

I need to change my brake fluid too....pedal went to the floor a few times today at Bedford!!

But the rest of the car was epic. The GT3 RS 4.0 was too quick for me though.

My brother's Evo was 106db so failed before he even got near the track!

I knew it! lol

You have to admit, the black intercooler etc actually looks like it should have been that colour all along. The engine bay looks very un-kit car now which I like a lot!
