If a package from Amazon never reached my house, but has been signed for (by a sig I don't recognise, and with no address listed OB the Parcelforce site) where do I stand I getting my parcel back?

The seller will say he's sent it, and PF will say they delivered it!

Am I f*cked?

Did you actually buy from Amazon or from someone else through the Marketplace?

I ordered some stuff from Amazon which was subsequently signed for but not by me...didn't recognise the name on the tracking site.

I sent Amazon an e-mail through their customer help section or some such and had a reply the same day. They chased up the courier who specified exactly where the delivery had been made, turns out they had left it at the sales office in a show flat accross the road (new development), went over there and duly got my stuff!

I was pretty impressed with Amazon getting back to me so quickly and going so far as to speak to the actual guy who made the delivery so give them a shout, tell them what's happened and they should see you right.

Why the hell is this in computer games section,? was it a game you bought or because you can't yet post in the lounge?

Well if you haven't signed for it then it has not yet been delivered to you so the contract has not been completed. It's for the seller to chase the delivery company about this as your contract is still with the seller.

What gets me about posts like this, is the motive behind posting this kind of question as your first post on a motoring forum, regardless of the forum area it is posted in.

Aside from pointless trolling, surely this kind of question is better placed on Amazon's discussion forum?

Ha, thanks for your replies fellas. I've actually been posting on here for ages, but just setup a new username for a little anonymity. The reasoning for posting in the games section was thinking more people here (in the games section) buying from Amazon. The item in question is actually a Blueray (Lord of the Rings extended boxset - so you can imagine the severity of the situation. It's Code Red in our household right now)

I sincerely apologies for ruining your day, seriously.

Marketplace... not sure if this changes anything? I've mailed the seller, but not Amazon themselves.

Cheers for the reply though (I mean it this time) I'll drop real Amazon a mail, hopefully it'll get sorted.

I only responded as in situations like this, the direct forum from the retailer would be a better place to start with enquiries, as Amazon as a whole are renouned for solving issues like this and given the location this post has fallen into, you'd likely get a better answer from them initially. Just advice, t'is all. It'd take a lot more to ruin my day, fella wink

Why use this profile as instead of the other, where you could have posted in the lounge and get more coverage?
As stated amazon would have been first port of call, shirley.

Yeah, I've emailed the seller and Parcelforce. I was just looking to see if anyone had had a similar experience, hopefully with a happy outcome.

God, this has really riled you up? I know, I know. I hate it when people p*ss in my chips too.

Tomorrow i'm going to mention motorbikes in the 'General Motorsport' forum.

Then maybe mention 'VX220' in the Lotus forum.

Sh*t's going to get real then. Best standback, PeanutHead.
