First of all, I don't need comments along the lines of "if you can't afford to run it then you shouldn't have bought it..." or "buy a eurobox for weekdays"...

Now that's said, I can get on with the point of the thread (maybe it should be in "engines" )

I've wondered if there are fuel issues (green/supply/etc) in the future - in say 4 to 5 years time - what are the chances of converting a TVR 5 litre V8 to running on propane (LPG) as a single fuel (ie no petrol tank)?

I can see very little reason why there should be any shortage of methane (another possible fuel) in this country and if it's the car's ONLY fuel, then surely the engine can be mapped or otherwise tweaked to run on it with little change to the power...

Any views?

what's the octane rating like on chance? I might give that a go...
