Since delving into bangernomics, I’ve recently been on the look out for my next shed, even though my current snotter has done nothing wrong or let me down yet the insurance was up for renewal. It was more than value of the car. Plus it’s a bit too much of a shed I’d decided to keep any longer, drivers window doesn’t work amongst other small niggles. Originally I expected it to last me until its MOT which then sailed through. It’s an e36 323i.

The last few months I’ve been on the look out for a local shed, cars came and went going for more than I wanted to pay (budget of £500-£1000) for the nick they were in then I found an E46 323i on eBay 5 mins from where I live and I won it for the princely sum of £520, 6 months test a 3 month tax-result. I couldn’t get in touch with the seller for a while so I thought he’s maybe going to try and wiggle out of the deal after not getting close to what he wanted but finally got him today and he’s on holiday (who puts a car up for sale by auction to end when they know they won’t be around)?! Anyhow he’d left the car at his parents so I went to have a look at it. It’s really clean, excellent history and had a service 2 weeks ago so in other words I’m chuffed to have landed it for almost half a bag of sand!!

I can’t have it until next week when he’s back (assuming he doesn’t change his mind). It was advertised as a 323ci but on plugging in the details for insurance it’s an SE but I can live with than I think. 2002 plate with 145k.

Pics to follow when I get home. Now need to flog my trusty shed…….

How long this one will last before it breaks or I get bored, probably decide when its MOT is up next year.
