Why are my cleats creaking?
Discussion
Bit of a funny one this.
Currently running Shimano 105 SL pedals, so far they have covered 2.5k and the bearings still appear to be nice and smooth.
I've recently replaced the cleats on my shoes and up until my last ride they were all fine, now in both shoes they appear to be 'dry & creaky' within the pedal, it's the kind of feel which can drive one crazy on a ride!
I've checked all appropriate bolts for tightness and even sprayed a good dose of GT85 on them.
help!

If you put the old cleats back on, do they creak too?Currently running Shimano 105 SL pedals, so far they have covered 2.5k and the bearings still appear to be nice and smooth.

On the pedal or on the shoe? Mine are doing this also. Only started last night though.
There is no play in the shoe so I'm guessing it's the slight movement within the pedal itself. Adjustment of the pedal has not changed and I'd describe the tightness as 'somewhere in the middle'. Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
