..Yes, I've bought a pair. Not the best look for a 22yr old, but I needed some new footwear for work and they match my scrubs. Not to be worn outside of the hospital I promise.

I'm hoping they're as good as they are made out to be. Anyone got a pair?

My wife is a Sister and she loves hers, she's not keen on the ones with a curved sole that are supposed to make your posture better though!

Yes I've had a few pairs. They are fairly good all things considered.

Why are these so popular among hospital workers?

I hate the clog ones.

But I have some Croc flip flops and they are, simply, awesome. I can walk for hours on them and my feet will be as fresh as in walking boots.

I think its just because they're lightweight and good for when you're on your feet for most the day!

I'm surprised you are allowed to wear them in a hospital environment. My wife is a nurse manager in the US and they are not allowed to wear the ones with holes in the toes - I think the stabbing risk from dropped 'sharps' is the reason.

Ahh yes, we're not either hehe there are two types; with holes & without. Plenty wear them and get away with it so it shouldn't be too much of a problem!

Crocs do look awful, but then I wear Birkenstocks all summer, so what do I know?

I love them - but I would never ever wear the one's in the OP! They don't all look like that!

I understand it is because they are extremely easy to clean and disinfect, the material doesn't absorb "liquids" like cloth, leather etc.

A nurse I spoke to asking about this told me that they had to get permission, i.e. each person needed a reason.

Maybe they want to look like Dutch truck drivers.
