Anyone seeing Morrissey on Saturday?
Discussion
Agreed Ruskie. Everything was brilliant, from the fantastic Big Hard Excellent Fish build-up before His arrival, hearing Speedway live (at last!), a few Smiths classics he hasn't played in a while, and then Klaus Nomi at the end as the crowd filtered out. If I were to have one or two complaints, the footage during Meat Is Murder really knocked some of the fizz out of the crowd, it was rather distressing. One woman had a pop at me for pushing into her... Firstly love, it didn't come from me, and second of all, you are at the front of a packed arena, listening to Morrissey. There were 5-chuffing-thousand seats available for the taking when you booked your ticket. Don't moan if you choose to book standing and then make body contact with someone. Thirdly, Kristeen Young's music wasn't up to much IMHO. All in all, a brilliant night!

Summed up perfectly! My missus isn't a massive fan so she was a bit shocked when Meat is Murder came on and had to explain why she was watching distressed animals at a gig! That was the shock factor he was aiming for though I suppose.Gassing Station | Music | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
