TT-RS, RS4 Cabrio or...
Discussion
My gf has just been given a car allowance (and fuel card) by work, on the condition that she spends it on a car. We don't currently have a car (following an incident with cup tyres, an unexpected downpour and some lorry ruts on the motorway). Being brutally honest we don't need a car, as we live in the centre if Zurich and the public transport is fantastic. I do miss the 911 though and the convenience of having a car. I've therefore said I'll chip in if we get something interesting.
The key criteria are:
4wd as we'll be driving to ski resorts
Ability to fit two sets of skis
Fast (naturally)
She thinks she wants a convertible, as our last three cars have been and she thinks she'll miss it
It'll be used for going skiing in the winter, driving around Europe in the summer, as well as mountain pass hoons, commuting through town about 5 miles every day and general shopping duties. We don't have kids, so 2 seats is not an issue.
For me that's narrowed it down to the TT-RS roadster or the RS4 cabrio. But am I missing anything else? Potentially not a soft top, but not the hard top version of the above or an estate.
We'll be poking around them this weekend, but which would you go for?

Sorry should have clarified. It'll be second hand.
A Carrera 4 is let down on the ski carrying front otherwise I'd be looking at another 911 Turbo. Having said that she wants something a little less showy, as she got a few snide comments at work when she took the Turbo in.
Winter tyres are a must here regardless of drivetrain. 4wd isn't a necessity from my perspective, but I think she is sold on it. It's worth trying re the M3 though.
