Should think they're ok if you have a jack low enough to go under them when fitted.

I've got one. Works well, but as has been said, you need a low entry jack.

I prefer a hockey puck because the metal pad has a key that can turn in the slot in the jacking point on the car. With my jack, the diameter of the pad is exactly right to then get lodged in the teeth of the support cup on the jack. So, when I finish working on the car and drop the jack, the pad does not disengage with the car and the jack cannot be removed unless you move the jack through however many degrees to get the slot and key to line up.

I would say no. I bought a set and returned them as I think that they were way too small and a loose fit in the slot.

I've got one and I'd recommend it.

A piece of carpet does the job.

Agreed. Or a piece of thin rubber sheeting.

I've bought a pair and think they are great.

It's not far off impossib;e to get a jack under a 993 without some kind of curcular spacer between underbody and jack. The underside of mine and the arch liners are cracked becuase of some numpty not locating the jack correctly in the past. Carpet or rubber strips would be no good. Well not on my C2 at least.

Now its simple, locate and turn to lock the pads under the car (the inner ones at least on a 993) and jack up and on to them. Brilliant.

Just remember to remove them before driving off.
