One of the places I've been meaning to join for a while...

Started off with a tarted up Polo 1.3cl. Although you're first car is always special I am quite ashamed of some parts of it now. Had a few clever bits on it, like custom sides skirts and bumper, the wing mirrors are always a good guessing game too. +10 internet points to the first person that gets them.

Then had a few years off the road because I lived less than a mile from where I worked. When I got back into motoring again I got this. Is there a shame smiley?

Went to Trax one year and someone added N ER to the plate with a sharpie. Loved it so drove around like that for 6 months.

Changed up for a slightly improved model. 1.4S. I have just realised I have no pictures of this. It was the same as that one ^. But it was blue.

Then I got a new job so went for a dirty diesel.

Then in January of this year I treated myself to a car I've wanted since 2005 when I saw the launch pics. I knew my exact spec and waited ages for a) one I liked and b) one I could afford. Picked this uber clean example up with less than 7k on the clock and have loved it ever since.

Already bought a car bra and few under bonnet tarty bits for it.

and a car bra.

I like the car bra because it annoys people. This makes me laugh at how worked up some people get over a piece of £20 vinyl.

Plan to go down the OEM+ look. Try and keep it useable day to day. I realise it's a family hatch, and I definately feel a little inadequate after nosing round here a bit, but I'm still going to fettle a little bit. 300hp is my target.

So, yeah. Went on a bit there. sorry about that.

TBF, that Polo isn't bad for a first car. In fact, I think it looks quite smart for a polo getmecoat

Edit: I should add, minus the 'bad boy' bonnet and the colour coded rear lights.

Love the Focus too. Looks much better with the colour coded engine trims too. Makes it much less dull.

I don't think the lights are colour coded, weren't they a factory option? There were green ones and blue ones from memory. Very sad, given that I've never owned a Polo before.

Loving the ST. Don't like the bra cos it kind of ruins the lines a little bit! Don't you find a lot of people asking you if you've noticed the bin bag you've got stuck to the front of your car?!

Love the Focus chap, IMO the facelift made such an improvement over the early cars, which have dated quite alot now IMO (although I suppose they are the thick end of 7 years old..). Polo looks quite cool too... paperbag

Nice Focus...I definately recognise your Polo from back in the day, was it ever at any shows? GTi International perhaps?

VW Polo is unusual, but I do not like it, at least you didn't get M3 mirrors that adorn every Corsa around here though.

The Focus ST looks a great example and really smart with the mods you have made - I like the bonnet bra too.

Enjoy! thumbup

EDIT: The ST-3 is the range topper isn't it? What features or extra's does it have? smile

Ugh! Car bra? really? Why ruin a nice car like that? I don't think it annoys people as such, but it just makes a nice car (which you car is) look stupid.

As the other poster stated, the roads (in the Lupo picture) look familiar, I see you are in Sheffield. I will keep an eye out for you as I live in Chesterfield. It looks like either around Dore, Bakewell or Hathersage/Hope Valley.

Bonnet tat ruins the ST. It also scuffs the paint underneath from people I know who also fitted them. Choice is yours but its not the taste of many. EO is a great colour but chose stealth grey and debadge for that hidden look for mine and 300 bhp too............

They did offer Hella lights on one of the special editions, and most dealers sold coloured lights or clear front lights as accessories. Unfortunately I added these!

Yep, for a year or two it was at everything. Then it was involved in a long complicated series of events which meant I had to strip it and sell it for spares.

Yep, comes with leather recaro's (but you lose a seat in the back, but the two your left with... My word.), HID's and as this was a model run out, all options except rear parking sensors. Even has interior footwell lights, which I've not seen any another ST yet.

For those that hate the bra, rest assured I only use it when it's dusty, most of the time it looks like this.

The plan is to have the car on some Ford/Eibach springs, Bra & colour-coded vinyl wrapped roof box and finished with some Ronal R50s. The go to both VW and Ford shows, trolling everyone on the way. Good thing is the car can then be put back to standard within a few hours.

Yep, from Sheffield, good shout on the locations!

P.S. no advances on the wing mirrors?

The facelift ST looks lovely. Such an improvement on the original!

I'd of gone for a more subtle colour but still, dead nice.

I quite like the ST as a sort of shopping GT but the bonnet bra is awful. I suppose it fits in with the McDonalds car park theme though!

I may be slightly biased but the current car looks very nice, looking forward to seeing what happens with it.

did you ever live on Abbey Lane?

There used to be a nice green polo there that looked like yours, had a short no. plate, A3NYK or something like that.

Anyway nice Focus!
