Jaguar's Egal 7ltr Ford Galaxy & Jag XK120 with D Engine..

Hi guys,

I’m looking for any information I can find on Rob Becks old Jaguars. Both the Egal and his XK120 .. there is a little info on the ten-tenths site… anyone here can add to it ?

I was Into E Types in a Big way and often wondered what happened to the egal . I have always wanted to build an E Type with a V8 in it , maybe one day !!

As far as ime aware it was sold to the States in the 60 s .
Have you tried XKE Data ?

The Egal.. I may have a prehistoric magazine article somewhere (in the loft/library, hiding from me !) If I recall, the Ford FE motor weighed no more than the XK six.
Obviously alluminum heads/ intake manifold shed POUNDS of weight from these Fords,and I wonder if it used the stock 428, or the all singing all dancing 427..? Whatever, something approaching 500 ft/lbs would make that one QUICK E Type.
I hope very much that this car still exists, and that someone out there will see your thread.
