Silverstone Classic meeting 20-22nd July

Some of my photos from Silverstone Classic. I met some legends and some childhood heroes when I was there. Apart from G4S being ever so "helpful" an amazing weekend and I will be back next year.
If anyone knows any of the cars please post info about them.

Great meeting and some good pics. I hope you wandered down to the Wing and photo'd the sublime Ferrari 512S and 312P (the latter just tested on Thursday but was stiill available to drool over). Gp C cars were also stunning.

Unfortunately I didn't get to the wing after being told that I couldn't get into either paddock or near anything that was on track! Then on Sunday found out that public were allowed in but it was too late to go and I had to leave to go home. Thanks G4S security...thanks...

Next year remember that you can go anywhere in both paddocks, But you have to get the bus to the wing- you cant walk down. There are no acess restrictions in the pit garages- just common sense. And if you are lucky- as I was on THurs pm testing you can watch the Gp C cars from the pit wall....

Had a great day, lot's of good action (minus the sunburn). As others have said terrible attitude & service from G4S !

Actually the G4S guys I met were brilliant- having hurt my back quite badly my mobility is not great at moment and they could not have been more helpful- even getting a grandstand opened up after I appealed for some action !

Silverstone has an atmosphere twinned with the moon.
It's a modern Formula 1 circuit where classic cars are so out of place they become tedious to watch especially when there are only a handful of drivers who appear to be able to drive them properly.
The track is just too big, too wide and has too many fences.
£27,000,000 on that "wing" and no spectator access, just ridiculous.
The weekend's real enjoyment was offered by the Touring cars and Group C, they looked fast, sounded great and didn't get too spread out.
The "celebrity" Morgan race is 30 minutes of my life I will never get back. Utterly pointless and soul destroying.
Adam Ant was so bad we lasted 10 minutes. Al least the Balloons were nice to look at.
Some stunning cars, club and great people at the Silverstone Classic, sadly it's just the wrong venue.

Seriously pi$$ed off at bus service to International pit going via AA World.
Massive queues to get back to the village caused by this stupid diversion.
Really ruined a good weekend.
I get a survey today saying they will listen to comments and not a single box on the bus service and nowhere to write comments either.
Such an arrogant approach.
I for one will not be bothered to line their pockets for next year.

Completly agree about the bus service. having to go via the quagmire of AA world was just plain annoying. also the service to the international paddock didnt go down to the other end as in previous years. that was also a bit of a pain in the neck for my father who is getting on a bit....
