Anyone know if there'll be a live online broadcast?

http://weloveatrance.com/ for last night's ASOT sets.

There was. And if it brings across even half the atmosphere from the tent then it'll be well worth it.

Damn. Any recorded stuff? Particularly interested in John O'Callaghan's set.

Might be somewhere. Ive not got anything I recorded. Dont believe in taking photos and videos at gigs.

Someone (maxi jazz?) said something about how he wanted people to live in the moment and just enjoy the music as it was for those few seconds. He didnt like playing to an audience watching through a mobile phone. It made sense at the time and a little rule I live by.

Above and Beyond played an amazing set, they always do. Appeared to genuinely enjoy playing and genuinely thanked the crowd for turning up to see them.

I meant an official one like AVB's events...

Armin's set is on soundcloud;

I've been looking for John O'Callaghan's set too, probably my favourite trance DJ (and producer for that matter) out there at the moment.

Did BBC not do an essential mix from there? Or is that me just wistfully remembering the annual Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem essential mixes they used to do many moons ago?... cloud9

I have to admit I've not really been taken by the Global Gathering lineup for some years now, but this year I do really regret not going- a load of people I know who go every year seemed to back me up on this and said it really was that good.

Oh, and I very much agree that Above & Beyond are bloody awesome live. I'm also a massive fan of their albums- a lot of their more laid back stuff is fantastic, 'Tri State' always seemed to me like a perfect follow on from Chicane's first two albums- 'Far from the Maddening Crowds' and 'Behind the Sun', perfect summer evening tracks featuring some of the best vocalist's to feature on electronic music (in particular Justine Suissa & Tracy Ackerman).

Tangent well and truly travelled hehe

Thanks. Yeah, I just spotted John O'Callaghan in the line up so wanted to see what his set was like.

Above and Beyond are fantastic - listen to their essential mix. I was lucky enough to attend one of their pre-fame 6 hour sets at my local club- almighty.
