Took my S2000 to Wheels in Motion in Milton Keynes today and found this monster lurking on the forecourt. According to the chap there it's only done 180 miles - it was found hidden in a barn and covered in chicken st. Some old boy owned it and passed away and it lay forgotten for nearly 20 years. Criminal really that such an amazing car has barely been driven. Love the 70s interior styling.

Kitcar, surely?

That interior doesn't look factory at all.

Gate shift on the real thing, but it's not a bad reproduction.

clearly I was cruelly lied to by the man who did my wheel geometry today. I will never trust a garage again

That rear view so mean! Won't sound as good like the real deal.

To be fair, externally that's a bloody good stab at it. The gearstick and chrome ringed Smiths gauges do give the game away inside though smile

There's something odd about the nose panels and the windscreen rake. And those are Anniversary wheels (though this detail doesn't mean much).
I'd say fake, but then am no Countach expert, it just looks a bit wrong.

Hidden away for 20 years & I looks like that both inside & out? Mmmmm.

Also spotted the pool ball gear knob & the wrong gear shifter. Nice attempt but just not quite good enough. 1st impressions though are that is a real 5000 until you look closely.

I hope that the garage owner hasn't bought it believing it to be genuine.
