Hi

Had a great day today (Sat) due to and thanks to Mr & Mrs Sheen!

Andy rang me just after lunch time, to say that there was a car show in Riverside park this evening and could Kerry take the SX as he was taking his V8S!

No problem so he called around an hour latter to pick up the keys!

He then explained what the car show was about, it was in add of Magpass!
As they were invovled with saving my life I had to go along!
So he agreeded to help me down the two flights of stairs (on my arse) later so I could go. Now there was no way I could get in to either TVR so I said I would take my Range Rover!

Now I had not driven it yet in fact it was 8 months to today since my accident which was the last time I had driven!

Not only was the car great to drive, but to actualy drive was out of this world!

As the show was going on Andy decided to take a friend for a ride in the SX and I followed on behind just to hear that great whine from the supercharger.

Next thing I realised was we were doing over 90 + opps!

I was begining to feel tired so I stopped at some friends house for a chat! Ten minutes later my phone rang, it was Andy, things went strait through my mind, had he blown it, crashed it etc.
But no he wanted me to come back to the show!
So I drove back to find he's car had won the best in show and my SX had come second, what an end to a great day! Two TVRs at the show and they both won the prizes, the max power lads were not to happy!

With the SEAC race car come to it's new home Tomorrow/today Sunday this is going to be the best weekend for some time, even better than the fest!

I will post up pics soon!

Andy

Great read Andy. Glad to see your back behind the wheel, not long and it will be in one of your fleet.

Very generous of you to let someone else drive the SX. Can i borrow the Racer for six months..... Pretty Pleasesmile

As my fleet is now on the large side. so is the list of drivers insured to drive them (8)! Footman James are great, 6 road going TVR's my Jeep and Range Rover for £1K a year can't be bad. When you concider back in 1980 my first TVR cost me £365 a year so £1K is unbelievable!
I will have to see how much the racers are going to be to insure next week, but sorry they are not road going! banghead

Andy - this is great news - looking at you in the hospital bed 4 months ago I had my doubts, this is a real credit to both your determination and the great work by Addenbroke's to get your legs sorted out.
