As per the title - Mrs FarQue needs a set of four tyres for her '53 plate Focus. Roadholding/grip is more important than longevity, but purchase price is a consideration. She's lost confidence in the cheapies that are on the car and they do seem to have gone a bit 'wooden'.

If I could get Falken FK452's in the correct size that's what I'd go for. What's worth having in 195/60-15? I'm tempted by something from Toyo or Kumho. Over to the experts and experienced...

Uniroyal rain sports are impressive on my golf in that size.

I have Firestone FZ300s on mine, they are pretty good for a mid-range tyre. Are you experiencing twitchy handling at all? Mine was dreadful until I had 4 wheel alignment carried out, completely transformed the car.

As above, the steering was mighty twitchy at speed after having the front apart for a clutch job. Got the wheels aligned, job jobbed

I have a 54 plate Focus and currently have Khumo ecsta tyres. No complaints about the grip/handing.

1) Continental Premium Contact 5
2) Nokian V
3) Uniroyal RainExpert

All around the £60 per tyre price mark for a 195/60/15 and a vast improvement over Falken FK452s, especially in the wet.
