A friend has given me a challenge, and I'm failing miserably! I need to find out what car he has purchased and I need some help. He has given me the following clues.

It has wire wheels, 4 of them.
The engine is in the back.
Its 17 or 18 years old.
Made in Britain (Around the Lincolnshire area possibly?)
It only has 1 seat.
It has a steel chassis, with a wooden/alloy body, which is painted.
Its in the style of a Morgan, Swooping arches and headlight pods (Maybe?)
Its "sort of a kit car but isn't, its weird" are his words.
He said he didn't pay much for it, but he may have gotten a huge bargain, or not?

So far I know its NOT a,

BRM, Hall, ERA, Lotus, Caterham, Tiger, Locost, Tatra, Lloyd, Hillman Imp.

Thanks,

It's not one of Mal Nicholsons early creations is it? Check out www.trentsideclassics.co.uk he's based in Lincolnshire and has built a few high quality one off homages as well as some excellent Ferrari replicas.

There used to be several kit-built Morgan-a-likes and I'd imagine you could have any one of them built by the factory. I forget the names sadly.

There's also the Royale Sabre. Although the Sabre undoubtedly has its own identity it's still rather reminiscent of that era:
