Was anyone else timing the road race to see how they fared? I clocked them at KOM or better time for zig zag road on every single lap. Wanted to get the run from hampton court to kingston too but the TV directors weren't playing ball.

Amazing to do that kind of pace 9 times in the middle of a 200km+ race. And those KOM numbers have been set by professional riders too. Gives you a little insight into just how far ahead these guys are eek

Ian Stannard recently posted some times on Strava.

He was seen out riding solo by someone I know and when they got home they noticed his name on top of a couple of segments.

As far as I know the only seriously fast time up there was the one that Nibali did. Which was around 4.40. The others were over 5 mins, Gilbert was 5.05, which is obviously very fast, but in a bunch I would imagine many of the top 10 as it stands now would be able to go at that pace too. Obviously NOT 9 times though smile

^^ I'll add Hoogerland:

To finish a stage of what is already one of the toughest races in the world, after that crash?
Enough man points to buy the left half of chuck norris. Nearly. And frankly there are better tales of endurance in the peloton better than his.
