Well it definitely can't be an estate as suggested in The Sun because BMW didn't start building estates until the E30 & E34 generations and this car is definitely not one of those.
With the indicator set into the leading edge of the first wing it also cannot be a E12 or E28 and it's too big to be a E21. Therefore my best guess is that it is either a E23 or E24, and I'm leaning to the E23.

hey guys sorry to revive a really old thread but id really like to know if this is the car im looking for. my dad used to work for a company in paris called garage du bac and there shop car was an e23 alpina estate/touring. yes there were 2 made. one for bmw and one as a peasant for the biggest BMW dealer in paris. ive been trying to track this car down for a very long time any information would be greats thanks guys and gals
