Help please Mx5 Mk2 199
Discussion
Can you help me make a decision please..Man up the road has put their MX5 up for sale. MX5 Mk2 1999 1.8Is, 74K mileage with previous CAT C damage and No service history and 6 previous owners, my neighbour has owned ot for 2 months and replaced it with SL55 2005 so I know it is not the MX5 that he found fault with...slightly different league of car!
There is evidence of repair work in the Boot space but otherwwise very clean and no rust. It drives sweet and is very tight. There is a new Mohair hood with good leather interior but the wheels are tatty and need refurb. There are stamps up to 55K in the logbook but nothing since 2005. Mileage looks verified on a data check. 12months MOT and tax included.
He has it up at £1495 and open to offers...do I bid him or walk away and find another one.
Thanks for your help

Why not? Price is good for rust-free Mk2. Mileage is fine. Lack of history isn't unusual (it does at least have history for 1st 6 years and it's only done 20k miles since then). The repair in the boot shouldn't be an issue if it's good enough quality.
Only issue is the Cat C status. Whether that matters depends on the effect on your insurance.
