Just gone to fit my brake master on to my new servo but there is a difference between the old and new master cylinders:

Have I got the correct one because I can see that it wont make a seal? The ridge on the master cylinder is where the rubber 'o' ring is on the servo. (I did purchase this from a very well known TVR Parts supplier)

Not an answer to your question, but where did you get your servo from?

The seal is internal and those voids do not affect this wink if you remove the cylinder from the servo and look into the opening there should be a rubber seal that the Master Cylinder collar butts up to and this creates the vacuum tight seal wink
Phew - thanks for your help. I better get on with it...

By far the cheapest place to get it from is Hans in Holland Who advertises on PH:

So much cheaper than dealers but I did end up waiting a long time to get hold of it. (he actually dropped it off at my door on Wednesday - nice guy!)

He also does master cylinders! (I had already got my master cylinder by the time I contacted Hans but again he is cheapest!)

I paid 109 + postage from a parts dealer in the UK
