Hey guys,
Got a friend that has around £250 max for a car that needs to have Tax and MOT and be runnable for around a month or so. He can't use public transport as it doesn't visit anywhere near where he lives, or where he's going to work.
He did find this: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/mits... and offered the guy the money for the 5 month remaining tax, however, someone got there before him and bought it. It appeared to run okay but don't know how far it would have got him.
Is the above even possible?
If anyone can find anything at all, I'll be might impressed.

Online prices tend to be a lot higher, if you can find somebody local that just wants rid of the car and they havent advertised it online or so its usually a lot cheaper.

As said, have a look in the local paper and also at adverts in shop windows/ customer advertisement boards. It may be worth having a word with a car dealer to let him know you're after a £250 car with tax and test. Wish him look.
