Peter Filby/The Marten Lilly Years OUT SOON :read:
Discussion
GREAT NEWS
to all of us that are still alive
The long anticipated arrival of Volume2 the Martin Lilley years is finally finished.
Yes it is actually with the printers as I type looking forward to having some good night reading as now on the third read of volume 1 (yes a lot to take in on the first read?)
I believe there are even some nice photo,s of a red 3000s (Taimar Roadster)with non standard bumpers??? that I might like to see.
Plus a lot of other owners cars 684 pictures in all to gloat over so I am sure there are a lot of us looking forward to seeing our cars in print
.
There are 480 pages plus dust cover and also a slip case so will really be something I will treasure for many years.
Better warn the post man so he can go down the gym to prepare for its arrival.
I am not sure but I believe it will only be available initially from www.tvrbooks.com from the 20th of August with signed copies on request.
This will not only be a fantastic record of all the wonderful cars that Martin Lilly and his Family as he called them built but also a wonderful tribute to a very kind and generous man.
I believe there are 16 chapters with the first covering Martins early life before TVR and then chapers covering all the various wonderful cars including the early Tasmin models.
Thank you Peter for all your work
