Sweet spot for flight pricing?
Discussion
Folks,
Hoping to go to India between 27th Sept-17th Oct. I've been scanning flight prices for a few weeks, but was wondering when the best deals tended to come up- By waiting until the right point to book Japan flights last year I saved nearly £200...
Probably flying BRS/LHR-DEL and then COK-LHR/BRS back.
Cheers!

Not sure in the answer to your question, but why would you fly from Bristol to Heathrow?? Or did I completely misunderstand you? Or were you looking for a Bristol - Delhi flight?Hoping to go to India between 27th Sept-17th Oct. Skyscanner suggests that you can go from Brissle to Delhi one way for 490 on Brussles Airways transferring to Jet Airways, or also from Brissle on KLM Via Amsterdam for 662
Thanks I've been doing plenty of 'scanning' on that app, looks like the cheapest Indian return is about £450 but once I go 'open jaw' from Kochi on the way back the prices bump up...XJSJohn said:

Also checked on Kayak - 464 on Austrian/Swiss with one stop, or 591 direct with Air India, 624 direct with Jetthehawk said:

Thanks, at those prices from Bristol it probably makes more sense to just buy a BRS/DEL return and then take an internal flight from Kochi-Delhi on the return trip. Thanks all, now booked. Ended up going from LHR in the end because all of the Bristol flights departed at 0600 (unfriendly) and arrived in Delhi in the middle of the night (Also unfriendly).
Flying with Qatar Airways LHR-DEL BOM-LHR for £503 return (and a cheeky tenner cashback on Quidco)- I'm happy
Flight leaves LHR at 1600hrs and gets into Delhi at 0800 which is ideal for me, and having flown Qatar before their service is great.
Now to book trains.... Aaargh

Why are you booking trains? National express from the bus station is 2 hours each way and cheap with it. And takes you direct to LHR....
Indian trains Glen! You have to book ages in advance, unless you fancy spending 17hrs in the comedy wooden seat sharing with cows carriage...Will be booking NE coach on Friday because it's as easy as pie.
