Nine months ago I wrapped my Cerbera exhaust manifolds with the cheapest eBay wrap I could find. I did so rather poorly and it was possibly the most unpleasant job I've ever done. It also makes working on or under the car very unpleasant. However it did make a significant difference to the engine bay temps. I've since had to remove the manifolds because of cracks, and in doing so the wrap has fallen apart. What are my options?

I can't face using the same stuff - it's just too nasty.

I can't afford fancy coatings - that's not an option.

What other materials are available?

I'm tempted to put them back naked, but I'd much prefer to protect the engine bay if possible.

The car is used as a weekend and track day toy only (when it isn't on axle stands).

Thanks in anticipation

Did you put it on wet? Dry, I agree, a nightmare, but putting it wet on it conforms a lot better and doesn't disintegrate nearly as much.

Yes, put it on wet, but didn't spray it afterwards.
