Mine's overheating too!
Discussion
Having overheating probs with mine too this week.
Since buying the car two and a half years ago it has never had any overheating problems, even in traffic jams at the height of a hot summers day.
Then last week, during a traffic free trip to Cambridge (about 10 miles) the temparature reading went off the end of the guage. It was a hot day but apart from that there was no apparent reason for this to happen. The water level was fine. The fans were both working overtime so no problem with fans cutting in. Only things that have changed recently is that the car was recently serviced and had a new radiator put in. It's been bled and checked for air-locks and again, no problems found.
Took it into the garage today and they have identified that one of the fans is blowing in the wrong direction! Now, either the fan has always been like that in which case this cannot be causing the recent problem or, the fan was incorrectly installed when the radiator was replaced. From a quick inspection I'm assuming that the fans have to be removed to replace the radiator - can anyone here confirm this?

Not sure whether the fans come out together though, or individually, or even if the fans can be put back 'the wrong way'.Could it also be anything to do with the electrical connections put back the wrong way round. Its only an idea.
I'm not sure but it's been fixed now and I'll see if this cures it.
