Hit 40k miles on Sunday, odo's stuck at 39999 and a bit, just won't turn over to the 40k, trip is stuck as well. Speedo works fine. Alloy hinge trim on boot (drivers side) came off whilst polishing car on Saturday morning. Now have a brake light out (again). And the damn leak into the drivers footwell from under the bonnet has started (again). And it's raining. And will be for the rest of the week. And probably will continue to do so until Winter gets here when It'll stop raining. And start hailing/snowing/blizzards etc etc. irked Sod it I'm going down the pub drink

As I understand it, they don't do things by half. Self harm is not their style. They are either fine or the engine spontaneously self destructs. There is no middle ground. I'll keep my chim...

Had a new S for a 24 hour test, twice a couple of years ago.

Absobloodylutely brilliant if a tad soul less!

Now if some one wants to lend or give me the new model, (black or a white one will do).

Yes, I tested a few of the S variety (not new though but of both the 986 and 987 variety) and must admit they were very fine cars. Somehow had to convince myself that I like them though. Whereas the chim; hooked the first time I clapped eyes on it/heard it/drove it.....A much more special place to be IMO.

Come on Peter. What would you have to do if you didnt have an engine to rebuild every couple of weeks. Its all part of the fun of TIV ownership. You know you love it.

Seriously though. I hope your recent problem isnt too drastic.
