Has anyone got any knowledge or documentation concerning a Griffith that I have just acquired? Original Reg No. is M424KNR - did have the Reg No. J100TVR before it was damaged

J100 TVR was originally on my V8S. I was going to assign it to my Griffith but had to sell it to put the money towards a respray. J100 TVR was subsequently bought by PH member selnic who assigned it to his Griffith which was written off several months ago.

I am looking for any history on the Griffith, including any documentation (or copies) that you may have. all I have is the new MOT Certificate and the VIC form. The car must have had a fairly bad bang on the front nearside - what happened? It appears to have had a TVR Power engine fitted at some later date - do you know anything about that? The car needs some manifold and exhaust gaskets, possibly upper and lower ball joints and (maybe) new trackrod ends - apart from that it needs 2 new nearside wheels and a service. Bodywise it has been repaired but needs finishing before a full body respray. If you have any pre-crash photos that you can forward it would really help in getting the car back to where is was when you owned it. The inside of the car is in great condition and is a credit to you. You can respond to me at rbarbour@btinternet.com if you wish

All TVR RV8 500 engines were built by TVR Power so assuming the engine number matches whats on the V5 it's probably the original engine.

Thanks - my friend Ricky said that he "thought" that the engine had been replaced.... In my case - ignorance is definitely bliss. As you say, the V5 will reveal all when I get it.
