Happy with my quote for new toyo Proxies TI-S all in fitted/balanced/new valves/vat at £332.
All fitted now and presented with bill for £372

with them difference and the fella had obviously misquoted me. Discussions had the price drop in increments and I agreed in the end at £345. It was all quite friendly we both knew it was an error.
Still a bargain so I'm happy enough but not over the moon like yesterday. As a discussion point how do you prove a verbal quote and would it stand in court, purely out of curiosity.

Agreed, it still seems like a good price for 4 big performance tyres.
As for how it would stand up in court, I guess it would be your word against his and if he was going to change his story then you'd probly lose the battle. If you could get him to agree to say that that was what he had quoted it may be a different story. Equally if you had proof of the quote then you would probly stand a good chance of getting the money back.

Rule number 1 always get a quotation faxed to you or written been their done that and got the tee shirt
