Name that film starring a Jago Geep

Back in the 1980s I remember watching a movie in which this young lady, and some of her lady friends, built a Jago Geep. The build sequence lasted mere minutes, showed zero detail, and was filmed in semi-darkness. The girl then took the Jago on holiday to Germany, in the company of some useless tosser whose only aim was to get to watch a footy match. At some point of the journey, the bloke managed to set the Geep's electrics on fire whilst the girl was riding the cable car at Rudesheim.
Does this ring any bells with any of you 'more mature' kit-carists, and if so can you remember the name of the film, or any other info about it?

Loose connections, saw it once as i had a red 2.0 post office red geep many years ago Q273UOE.
I have looked lots of times to get it on DVD and have come to the conclusion it was never released on DVD, there is a paperback book of the flim somewhere in our loft.
If ever you find a DVD copy please let me know,

Wow, looking at the Lovefilm link, I hadn't realised that the film starred two such currently-famous actors as Lindsay Duncan and Stephen Rea: it had seemed to me that the two protagonists were a couple of unknowns - perhaps they were back then in the 80s. But now that I know who the stars actually were, I can see them pretty clearly in my mind's eye.

Hi Martyn.I haven't made any attempt to find it on DVD: the thing was that I remembered the film itself but had forgotten its title, so was unable to look up any references to it.
I can't remember how I got to watch 'Loose Connection': I know that I was on the lookout for it, having heard about it - probably through one of the kit car magazines of the time - but I'd be surprised if it had come on the telly, and just as surprised if I'd managed to find it in a video-hire shop. It may be that I bought it on VHS - but sadly all my video films went into the nearest skip after DVDs took over.
At the time when I first saw 'Loose Connection' my own interest in it was that, same as you, I had also built a Jago Geep (maroon, Q373 GDB) - in fact it was my first kit car - and I was therefore well 'into' Geeps, and keen to read or watch anything to do with them.
Eventually swapped it for a Marlin, and never saw the Geep again - well, not in the flesh anyway, although a couple of years after I'd swapped it, one of the lads at the school where I taught showed me a photograph which he'd taken of my Geep, having recognized it in a car park in France where they'd been on holiday - what a coincidence that was!

I didn't know that. I seem to recall that prior to designing the Geep, the Jago company was producing parts for hot-rod type cars. Was the Post Office contract after they stopped munufacturing kit cars?(ETA: the Claudius orgy bit must be the wierdest typo ever!
