tyres for 3000 s

Hi Rudy
Frank is the one to ask as you have tighter MOT there and your allowance outside spec is only 3% so i dont think you will pass with 195/70 R14 i dont believe Dunlop are doing those any more but there is a German equivalent but still not right for your MOT
Exciting getting to the rolling chassis stage though well done

I think I will stay to original size,MOT-regulations keeping in mind,
found specialized company to polish up the Wolfrace wheels to look shiny and new,
have to wait and see the result,
Steve, hope everything is well with you, hope to meet in 2013,
Andrew, rolling chassis is coming in sight!

Hi again Rudy the original fitted looks to be 185HR 70/14 most over in the UK I believe have gone to 195/80 14 including myself you need to check with your MOT Center there before buying them as i would hate to see you get everything done and then have it fail on the tyres.
yes Steve is right on the sizes and those prices seem right

Thank you Priddles (must take my dickslecksear tablets) for confirming that I was right. Sadly once again you are not. When I bought my first 3000M , it had factory fitted 185/14 tyres (82 profile to be precise), my Turbo had 195/70/14 as standard. I have only ever had 3000S,s with convertible roofs, never a hatchback convertible so can,t comment on your car. yes Steve is right on the sizes and those prices seem right

Indeed our Belgian MOT is more stringent, the outer diameter allowance is only + or - 2%. The originals are 185/82HR14, loadindex for B is 91 (dont ask me why) the elements making this expensive are 91 and the H( upto 210 kph)
I was going down the 205 route when i saw the Chris harris video on the Merc C63 AMG on spacesavers, and that got me thinking (and ordering) the 185' and must say the car handles beautifully on them, can commend them
I know traction and aspect and all that blabla, but bottom line is the car handles good (traction too)
(have pm'ed rudy already with some suggestions)
