The OEM wheel swap thread got me thinking of when I sold my E24 635csi. I sold it on fleaBay to a guy from Germany. He drove over with a friend to pick it up(I'm in Wales) and his friend picked up a Maserati that he'd also bought on the Bay. It was quite nice to think it was 'going home' smile

So what's the furthest you've travelled, personally for me it's my current car, M3, which was from Newbery so nothing crazy.

Doncaster to Southampton.

Bought unseen, but it was an ex-demo Renault Espace so no surprises, other than it had tax and handsfree which no-one had thought to mention.

Ive travelled in excess of 100 miles for most of my cars. I usually buy old and careully, in which case i choose the car i want and disregard the distance. After all its a day of your life for however many days of ownership. Besides driving it back adds to the excitement!

A couple of years ago, I flew from Dublin (where I was staying at the time)to Newcastle to pick up a Mercedes 300e and drove it back to Bournemouth where I live. Bought the car for 300 quid, it didn't miss a beat..

The seller looks quite young. Did he drive a particularly hard bargain or was he fairly easy to deal with? biggrin

110 miles Uxbridge to Margate to not buy a car, it was a focus that was declared as having some light panel damage, and damage to the front bumper. Which it did, along with a wrecked bonnet, practically falling out headlight, and a mouldy interior that looked like it had flooded!!

85 miles to Rugby to pick up my current Ibiza FR. Not many come up for sale, even fewer at sensible money, and those that do tend to go in a few days! Saw it, left a deposit, picked it up at the weekend. Nothing amazing to some on here, but it's the fastest car that was reasonable to run that I can afford to insure!

1hr 15 drive back after picking up my Westfield. Seemed the longest drive ever in the heaviest rain I've encountered with no roof.

Cambridge to Aberdeen to collect my Atom. It only rained for the Scotch part of the drive home then almost exactly on the boarder the rain stopped and the sun came out.
