When is Honda CRV getting bigger/better Diesel Engine ????

I understand that Honda announced in Geneva that it will introduce New 1.6 L I DTEC Diesel (Honda Earth Dreams Technolgy) on Civic this year and CRV will get it next year ..

I know that CRV 2013 will just get uprated 2.2 I DTEC..Any idea will it ever get a Bigger Diesel Engine or will Honda continue to flog 8 year old 2.2 Lump???

Is Honda working on developing any new Diesel besides 1.6???

Dont get me wrong ,I know both I CTDI and I DTEC are fantastic engines though bit gutless compared to Audi & BMW

I currently drive 58 model ICTDI and do not see much incentive to buy IDTEC CRV on 2.2 engine ( although with start & stop and much better Co2 emissions ) ...or probably I need to move to BMW or Audi in Future!!!
