Afternoon,

I'm looking for a piece of tech that will allow me to play music from my iphone to a radio channel that will hold the signal better than my Belkin (similar to iTrip) and phone calls through the speakers would be nice also.

I've seen this product - http://www.jabra.com/Products/Speakerphones/JABRA_...

and it's also available at Halfords.

Any thoughts if this is a good option and is there anything better without drilling into my car and voiding the Porsche warranty.

Thanks

What about something like this?

PS I've not got a Gen1 myself but was looking at options when I was considering getting a Gen1 911

The Mobridge units are supposed to be very good, but I am not sure why they are so expensive. I use a Dension Gateway 500 which cost about £250 (plus another £50 for the add on BT adaptor) and it seems to do exactly the same as the Mobridge.

I installed it myself and it has worked faultlessly for 18 months. I think they do a new version now which includes everything in one box.

Thanks guys, I have 14 months Porsche Warranty remaining and will extend for another 2 years so don't want to void warranty by installing anything. I'll double check with the dealership though as some of these units could be connected in the boot where the cd changer is and use those phono leads.

Don't think you're going to find any phono leads you can connect-to. Apart from little more than power and speakers, connection is by fibre optic (MOST) cable. These are the orange cables you see running out of the CD changer.
