New bike!!

Just ordered a Defy 4 compact through B2W scheme. Been on my time served rockhopper for a few months now but decided a change was in order and took the leap straight to a roadie. Can't wait! The Defy got good reviews and with new lights, mudguards etc should end up costing me about £465. Not too bad I thought. Will be first time on SPDs too but got double sided pedals to start with! Planning to ride all year if possible (we'll see) J

Good man - enjoy, but be prepared to spend many hours in the saddle as it is addictive!

I bought a road bike about 18 months ago as a way of improving my fitness for my MTB-ing, 18 months on I spend significantly more time on the road bike, and I love every minute of it!

Can't wait to get it now, will be a few weeks yet though. My two older boys want new bikes now they've been to the LBS and seen what's out there. Are there any good places people get second hand bikes for kids? I know, new bike for Dad, second hand for kids! Just an avenue to explore as kids bikes can easily be left unused for ages. Any advice would be great. Thanks J
