XJ sport ideas...

I picked up a very nice 1998 xj sport a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying ownership!
I know some of the purists will hate me but i would like to make some subtle modifications to freshen the look up.
I have been trying to source a set of clear side repeaters / indicators as this always helps a cars appearance IMO. However, no one seems to stock them anywhere! Surely others will have gone (or tried to go) down this route?
I also want to remove the thin white stripes but I suspect they're lacquered on, i havent investiagated yet.
I would love any ideas / pictures of any that have been breathed on in the past. As I said Im not looking to ruin the look of it, I just want to make a few little improvements.
