Most garages offer wheel alignment but what type of wheel alignment machine is good to ask them as to what they use?

Any recommendations for alignment work in Sussex/Lewes area?

I gather the "Hunter" types are the ones to go for having done a little searching. Mine is now done using one of these apparently and it's all good when I get it back.

I've only ever heard Hunter as the answer to this question. Find your nearest hunter equipped garage here - www.alignmycar.co.uk

One with a someone who knows what they are doing imho.

There's a couple if Hunter equipped ones near me, to say they didn't know the difference between MM & Degrees had me a little concerned.

The tools are only as good as the muppet using them

Hunter or Beissbarth (spell?).

The sort of alignment done just on the front wheels by monkeying around with your steering joints ("'ere, your trackings out, mate") is a complete waste of time.

Get it done properly on one of the above beasts and all is good.

The Hunter (well, all) machines have a tolerance built in.

You don't have to use a machine. You just need someone with patience and accuracy to set the car up, using wires, straight edges, camber gauges etc.

Try these guys - http://www.setyres.co.uk/

They have Hunter and they are all over Sussex. Also very nice to deal with and reasonably priced (in T Wells at least).
