We were looking to buy a car from someone like carcraft, but I am the wage earner and driver, but the loan would need to be in my wife's name as I don't have a bank account.

Carcraft have said they can't help us, is there any company that would consider, us in these circumstances?

The wife's bank have already said no to a loan, due to not banking with them for very long.

Why dont you have a bank account or at least a shared bank account with your wife?

Please don't.

Edit: Just seen your response to the bank account question...

Skoda Credit can finance a car in your wifes name and the car can be registered to you.

Don't see why this is any relevance to either the question or your business, but, to the OP:

Assumiung your wife has a bank account then she could take out a personal loan to pay for the car, then its up to you to simply register it in your name.

I am also sure that, should you go with carcraft or a.n.other manufacturer, and take out finance with them, that you could do the same.

Is the problem not really that your wife has no income and therefore no proof of income? Your regular wage must be going somewhere (unless it is cash), some places will take bank statements showing a regular payment as proof of income.

With our first car the finance was in my wife's name and the car registered in mine.

No, car finance has slightly different criteria to a bank loan as there is an asset involved (albeit a depreciating one) lending in the motor trade is more down to credit rating rather than how much goes in your account every month.
