Anyone else been carpet-bombed with calls from these warranty peddlers? WTF? How do they get hold of your details?

Yep.

90% sure it's either http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/ or http://www.q4.com/ which has sold/passed on my details after I went looking for car insurance/brokers. I guard my number religiously and these are the only sales calls I've ever really had to my mobile, which I've had for years, alongside a weekly text about claiming for my non-existent accident.

These calls/texts only started in the last 3/4 weeks since I used those websites.

Never, ever put your real phone number into quote/comparison websites. I found out the hard way.

Normally, I don't! Never do for Confused, Moneysupermarket, etc., but with me looking at brokers (or what I thought were brokers) I needed the callback.
