I am only 6'2 and 87kgs but my legs are a little on the long side........... although not comedy territory. I have always fancied a DB9 or V8V but went to a local AM garage, tried both and found that I just don't fit. The salesman just shrugged his shoulders. The seat appears to be right up against the bulkhead, so apart from removing the seat and fitting something else, it looks like a bit of a lost cause.
Anyone else had this problem?
I am on my second TVR as Peter Wheeler was quite tall and all the later cars have plenty of room.

Was the seat fully reclined or something? I am 6'0" and 83kg and I fit fine, in fact there is tons of space to move my seats further back, way beyond the correct driving position (the same applied to my V8V with sports seats). I cant believe 2" and 4kg makes a significant difference?

I am sure the seat was all the way back, the salesman did check. I have a 35-36 inch inside leg. Assuming it was all the way back, is the sports seat thinner? Could I do anything with the seat or does it have the airbags in the side. DB7s are quite right, I'm the limit at 5'11 in a Volante! But the DB9 is far larger, I really think perhaps the salesman couldn't operate the seat correctly, I have has some smart(ish) people fail to figure them out. If Big T can fit into it, you can
The first time I got into the DBS I panicked because I thought I didn't fit. Which would have been very costly as I'd already paid!
I found that after a very long period of seat adjustment, it is now perfect. The seat articulation is really very good. The only thing I would like is to put the steering wheel up a little more and have a little more room in the seat base width.
My advice would be to go back and see if you can get the salesman to leave you alone for five minutes so you can play around without him dribbling over you.

Both Sport (standard) and light weight seats are too clever for their own good sometimes. If the seat back is tilted along way back it limits the rear travel on the base to stop it crushing stuff behind it.
Also the seats are like the windows and sport shift clutch there have a mind of their own and sometimes need retraining
Plus I have known of 3 seat looms go preventing full adjustment of the seat
Go try a few more!

Like others have said, you need to try again (6'4", 35"ish inside leg. Larger athlete).
Do a search on here as it's been posted before, but the position that I suspect will work may be counter intuitive. Pull the seat forwards off the bulkhead a bit and drop it down at the rear. Then fiddle with the rake and the steering wheel position (reach and rake).
When I first sat in one I was fearful I would not fit - I was looking into the screen header rail. 15mins of adjusting and trying different things and I found I fit OK.
I don't believe there's significantly more room in the front of a DB9 than a V8V. May even be a tad less.

Don't be fooled by others here who are taller and say they fit just fine. Driving position is a very personal thing and is not something that can be determined just by height/weight. There are lots of other factors and you may find that you indeed do not fit comfortably in the car. Anyone else had this problem? According to the collective wisdom of the postings above, I, being only 5'9" and 80kg, should have massive amounts of space behind my seat to move even farther back. Nothing could be further from the truth. I run my seat all the way back until it barely touches the rear seat cushion, and even then I'd move it farther back if I could.
In my entire driving life, I only ever had one car (and this includes SUVs) where the driver's seat did not have to be in its most rearward position. It was in a Scion/Toyota xB. The point being, of course, they are your legs and no one else's.
I do hope that a second trial fitting is successful, but do not be surprised if it isn't.

Manufacturers make more clothes and shoes in taller sizes than when I was a boy, so why not cars?
Anyway, I'm happy to put up with it in the Aston and I've done some high-mileage days OK.
