After my first car, owned for 3 years, killed itself it was clear I needed a new car.. picked this up last night, very pleased with it so far already. Only a couple of pictures for now until I give it a damn good polish!

Great cars, although I'd Ben happier with the 1.8 TDCI over my lowly 1.6 Zetec

Well my sister has a 1.6 Ghia and not too different in performance, mines the 100hp TDCi, but much better on fuel.

I'm looking at one of these to replace an increasingly leggy Fiesta runabout, they are great cars. I love the old 1.8 Lynx/Kent Diesel, it's economical and bombproof.

Thanks, very pleased with it so far, might change the wheels but not sure yet.

Its just gone over 90K. Will be going back to the garage soon tho for the clutch release bearing that is grumbling.

Yea I really liked it from when I first saw it. I agree the interior is very nice, extremely comfortable on the motorway. All I have had buy for it so far is the new alarm case which cost £25. Getting mid 50mpg aswell which is a nice jump from high 30s and low 40s plus more performance.

I think they are ST170 fogs but could be wrong. Saw one that looked exactly the same as mine yesterday and he waved like crazy at me.

Nope they are from the st170, its a common mod for the mk1 focus.

The st170 fogs have a silver ring around the lamp, his don't.
Also the st fogs don't have a line coming from the lamp to the outer edge of the lamp.
Try google images for a better pic.

Great cars, was in the market for one last month for the mrs. Decided against the TDCI though just because of reading a few horror stories about dual mass flywheels. In the end, we got a 04 1.6 Ghia on 80k instead, superb all round car, big and comfy and the 1.6 engine is bulletproof from what I've read.

ST170 / TDCi SPORT front fogs look like so-

Which is why the OP's car is intriguing, I've not seen them before.

I never gelled with my Focus, had it for 4 months then cast it off, lost a few hundred quid in the process. Good car, does as it's told, good handling, just dull as dross, with no redeeming features.

I bought some Magnum Grey colour coded door handles for mine, but never fitted them. OP if you're interested then message me before the weekend as they're going on that big auction site!

Also have a Haynes manual if you're interested.

I can get a few closer pics if you wanna get to the bottom of what they are from.

Might be interested, are they tricky to fit? Could do with a haynes manual aswell, was gonna buy one at the weekend.
