You've no way of knowing what type of person was driving the Peugeot.
I like to think it was a regular-Pete type who knew his car didn't stand a chance against the predecessors yet had a go for a laugh anyway.

Nice bit of 'careful' driving by the two complete idiots in the 355 and Viper. Why are you launching your supercars out of a small village junction with people standing close-by?

Do we think they are trying to compensate for something?

This. Looked perfectly safe to me. I was surprised / impressed by the 355 owner's move! There were no people / property / small fluffy animals in the direction of the slide so can't see how it could have hurt anyone?
