Black Pudding ??

It's been ages since I have had black pudding on a breakfast.

Bought the one we used to get for a week-end fry up.

cooked it but on eating it it tastes sweet.

Have the powers that be buggered about with what contents can gan into me black puddin ??

Or are my taste buds shot ??

When you can get Stornaway stuff mail order, there's little point buying anything else - particularly if it's the shat made just outside of Manchester, never tastes right.

The stuff in question was from local Morrisons

Used to get it and it was nice

Dont have any butchers shops local anymore

I was very impressed with this black pudding that was recommend to me. Nom nom nom.

I like Tesco's black pudding from the deli counter - just get a small amount and try it. I find Sainsburys a little bit too smooth and nearly twice the price. Lidl's I really didn't like.

Best black pudding I've ever had was from Porterford's in Bow Lane (that there London I know ).

It's quite chunky with noticeable grains of barley (?) in it, but nice and peppery. For a black pudding hater, I actually liked it.

Best supermarket offering I've found is the Laverstoke Park Organic Black Pudding from Waitrose/Ocado. Much better than the various supermarket Bury black pudding. And very PH, as Laverstoke Park is owned by former F1 driver Jody Scheckter

Where do you all sit on the subject of French Boudin Noir? Big fan myself, but it's quite different to black pudding (which I also adore).

I'm quite partial to a Hungarian one that I get from a local place.

Yeah it's ok. Less oats and stuff in it (if any) so its really just a seasoned blood sausage. They eat them for dinner and with fruit compote quite often which works very well.

well went to Lidl's, bought these 2

the smaller was £1.29, bigger one £2.99



smaller one got barley in which i am not a great fan of but still V tasty,

bigger one is as i remember black pud to taste like.



also ended up in the dog house with O/H,
after sampling to much of the stuff raw and fried, I stunk,
oops.

Had a great vegi black pudding at greens in Manchester this weekend. I know it's wrong but it tasted so good I had to mention it.
