Meet our new cat:

We had to have our last cat Molly PTS a couple of months ago, and she left a gaping hole in our lives. Our home was just too quiet and not the same without a cat, so we have taken the plunge and have chosen the above beauty from our local rescue centre. She should be arriving withus in a couple of hours and I cannot wait.
The biggest issue we have is with her name, which is odd as we chose Molly very easily and quickly. Our new cat is approx 2yrs old, small female who is completely black - you can see that even the insides of her ears are black! She is a very sweet, affectionate girl who dislikes other cats.
Her current name is Spinx, which my OH is definately against. Our daughter wants to call her Bella (short for Bellatrix - at 7yrs she is a big Harry Potter fan, again my OH is not keen. Our top names are: Kali/Cali, Lily, Lucy, Sophie and Evie.
So what do the PH masses think of our choices?

Thanks for your replies. We have decided on the name Lily (tenuous Harry Potter link), which we have all agreed on. Bella didn't suit her - she is too sweet!
As for the comments on her being a rescue - to be honest we would never consider anything else. All our cats have been rescues and I can't see that ever changing. I just wish our house was big enough to have more than one (I could have quite easily taken all of the cats at the rescue!), though Lily doesn't like other cats so that suits us.
She has settled in very well - eating, drinking and toiletting normally! She was brilliant overnight and didn't disturb us once. She loves a play and has really taken to the laser pen. She is very affectionate and purring lots. In contrary to our last cat (which followed me everywhere like a sheep), Lily appears to be a mans cat, and seems quite attatched to my OH already, which is good as he works from home so they will be good company for each other.
I look forward to posting photos on the caturday thread!
